Thanks for the reply Lawrence but I don't think this is what I am after. I do not have shared storage- each node has their own storage locally.Hi,
You may refer to following steps to replace a shared volume in failover cluster:
- Present a new volume to the cluster
- Take the original disk offline.
- Failover Cluster Manager has a built in ‘repair’ functionality that allows replacing a failed disk with a new disk. Since we’re not really replacing a failed disk but a working one, we need to put the original disk into an 'offline' state so that the ‘repair’ function will be enabled.
- Use “repair” function to replace new volume.
- Bring original volume online and copy data to new volume
After you add disk to the RAID 10 group, and after you create new LUN, you can replace the volume back also following above steps.
